White fish, rice and Chinese vegetables for Jie!
Mo-She is such a good eater!
Noodles and Congee for Shu Shu!
We got seated in the "special room" this morning. Ken said just think if we adopted enough children to fill this whole table.! I think three is good for now!
He loves his big sisters!
This is Cindy our adoption guide. Mo-She calls her "sister". When we got in the car he told her we were going to see his brother with the glasses (meaning the young man who took care of him at the group home). It was so sad to think that's what he thought we were doing.
Always watching out for their little brother. These fish are a little more friendlier!
"You're really going to make me sit in this egg shell Mom?" I just love that my girls will do just about anything for me! They told Mo-She that Mommy likes to take a lot of pictures the first day he was with us! Too funny!
The aquarium was actually wonderful and exceeded our expectations. A lot better than the one we have in Cleveland. They even had penguins and a sea lion show that Mo-She seemed to love!
Our next stop was a shopping plaza to look for shoes for Mo-She. Even though he loves his shoes, they are so big for him and he keeps tripping and falling. Cindy takes us to a large crowded shopping area and Ken sees what he has been craving for since he got to China! A good cup of coffee!
Starbucks is even more expensive here than at home which is hard to believe. Cindy told us that the local coffee shop is much cheaper. Any American "Chain" is expensive, like Starbucks, Pizza Hut, and McDonalds. A grande coffee was between $6.00 to $8.00 American. Next we went to the Supermarket to find shoes!
The girls are loving all these Chinese snacks. We bought a few more bag fulls to take with us to Guangzhou.
Chickens for sale! The girls thought this was funny!
Our last stop for the day is the Notary office where we will get our final paper work for Mo-She. The certificate of Abandonment and his Chinese birth certificate. We are all very tired and ready to get back to the hotel. Tomorrow we fly to Guangzhou which will be the final stop for the China side of our adoption process. In Guangzhou we will have many appointments for the United States requirements.
Unfortunately my happy boy turned to sad when we returned to our room. I think he realized we were not going to see his big brother with the glasses. He played for a short while then tears swelled up in his eyes and he started to cry out "I want my brother" over and over again in Chinese. Shu Shu said he was just upset because I told him to stop sticking his straws in the light sockets and I shouldn't of told him that! They are very protective of their little brother. He crawled in my arms and cried himself to sleep saying "I want my brother". So sad and hard for a Mom to take. . . . he had me crying with him. Tomorrow morning we will leave the Province he was born in and take him away from everything he as known for the last 5 years. It will be a very emotional day for all.
"I will not leave you as orphans, I will come to you." John 14:18
My sweet boy sleeping peacefully with all his favorite things.
His new light up dolphin from the aquarium added to the collection!
Good Night from China!
What fun at the aquarium! My heart goes out to Mo-She and all of you! He looks so peaceful when he is sleeping. Wishing safe travels to Guangzhou! Last move before you begin the journey home! Love and Blessings, Aunt Laura

ReplyDeleteSo many things I could comment about but I'll just say this: I doubt yet that Adam Mo-She grasps the magnitude of how many pictures Mom really does take! Glad the girls warned him up front! Loving all of you so much....Aunt J
